We implement best-practice Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management systems that support our business in delivering projects safely, to a high standard and without harm to the environment. We aim for continual improvement in all that we do and are focused on ensuring our business systems continually evolve to support the sustainable growth of our business.

We hold the following third party accreditations for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) through SAI Global:

Health and safety management system - AS/NZS 45001

Quality management system - ISO 9001

Environmental management system - ISO 14001

Our management is committed to providing and maintaining a safe work site for employees, subcontractors and others affected by our work. We believe that all accidents are preventable and foster a culture of ZERO HARM.

Wasco Australia has successfully obtained accreditation from the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC). This Federal Safety Certification (FSC) is a critical step for continued growth and operation allowing Wasco to tender for Federally funded projects. This accreditation confirms that Wasco Australia’s systems and safety processes are at a federal standard level.

The Integrated Management System of Wasco (Australia) Pty Ltd is applicable to all functions, workers, and contractors of the business.

The Wasco Care Initiative

Communication. Alignment. Responsibility. Effort.

Launched in 2014, the Wasco CARE program was founded around the company’s Incident and Injury-Free culture. To date, we are constantly pursuing innovative and more efficient means to improve and enhance our safety procedures.

We believe those who would know best are our plant and facility workers. And CARE serves as an open channel for them to contribute and share their thoughts and opinions on how we can better our benchmarks. Encouraging them to Communicate, Align, take Responsibility and make an Effort.
