In collaboration with Hydra Energy of Vancouver, BC Wasco has designed, fabricated, installed, tested and commissioned a hydrogen fuel blending system that works with its Freightliner Coronado 114 long distance haulage prime mover to trial the use of hydrogen in the air/fuel mix to offset carbon emissions.

Trials in April 2024 have demonstrated the system can offset approximately 20% diesel on a normal duty cycle.  Further trials in Port of Brisbane and Port Kembla are planned in 2024 to demonstrate the application.
